Laser hair removal can be a successful treatment option
for women who suffer from hirsutism. Laser Hair Removal uses a visible light laser to gently
remove unwanted hair, putting an end to routine shaving and
waxing. This advanced technology improves upon the older,
painful hair removal treatments to deliver long-lasting results.
Because the laser treats more than one hair at a time, it is
possible to treat larger areas such as the back, shoulders,
arms, legs and face. Laser treatments leave your skin looking
and feeling smoother and silkier. Best of all, Laser Hair
Removal treatments are a safe, fast, gentle, and effective
method for hair removal. Laser hair removal is a safe
alternative to other methods of hair removal and a successful
treatment option for women suffering from hirsutism.

Hirsutism is excessive hair growth. It can occur in both men and women but most often is seen in women. Women of European ancestry have higher rates than women of African descent. Asian women have the lowest rate. In women, increased hair growth is typically distributed on the body in a male pattern such as a facial moustache or beard, chest, abdomen, back and thighs. It is darker and thicker than the baby fine hair that women typically find on their body. For men, the back, ears and chest are the most troublesome areas.
What Causes Hirsutism?
The commonest reason for hirsutism is the abnormally high levels of androgens or male hormones in the blood. Androgens cause terminal hairs to grow faster and thicker. Including symptom:
Polycystic ovarian syndrome.
The high insulin level in women is another cause of hirsutism.
Menopause.
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
Androgen-secreting tumour of adrenal or ovarian origin
Some medications
Puberty
Pregnancy
Metabolic disorders
Genetics. There are very obvious family and racial differences in hirsutism patients. If your mother , grandmother or sister experienced the disorder, then you are at a greater risk of developing it.
Hirsutism can usually be controlled, but not cured. Blood tests may be required to determine the underlying cause. There are many medical and cosmetic treatment options available for hirsutism. While medical treatment decreases or at least slows down the excess hair growth, it cannot get rid of the existing unwanted hair. Hence, mechanical hair removal techniques must be undertaken simultaneously for effective treatment.
Oral medications.
First the doctors will determine the causes of hirsutism. There
are different oral medication to ever causes of hirsutism, such
as dexamethasone or prednisone is the prescribed for adrenal
gland overactive, Anti-androgens and are Oral contraceptive
pills normally used to stop production of the male hormones in
women that cause hirsutism. The treatment usually takes from
three to six months to work. However, while medication can
prevent new hair from growing it can't do much about existing
hair.
A prescription cream that slows down the growth of facial hair takes four to eight weeks to have some effect.
Mechanical methods
A healthy diet, supplementation, exercise, stress
management, and quality healthcare will have a
profoundly beneficial effect for PCOS women with
