The Diode laser is the next most useful hair removal light source and the most promising laser for hair removal. It is an efficient and safe technique, adverse pigmentary effects occur, but are transient. The Diode laser is the best overall machine for treating all six skin types based on safety and long term use especially satisfactory to skin types 1 to 4. Because it has a longer wavelength than other lasers used which may improve treatment results on darker skin types.

1. Recommend Skin Type I, II, III

Pale white skin, blue/hazel eyes, blond/red hair, freckles or Albino ; Fair skin, blue eyes ; Darker white skin Example: Darker Caucasians, European mix

2. Possibly Skin Type IV, V

Light brown skin Example: Mediterranian, European, Asian, Hispanic, American Indian ; Brown skin Example: Hispanics, Afro-American, Middle Eastern

Side Effects
