Posted by chansen03 Where else can you watch the phils game, drink an ice cold beer and truely like getting your hair cut. Between the paraffin you dunk your hands in, face and head massage, you tend to slip away from reality for a little (especially after a long days of work) Besides all that, you can actually trust the fact that you will get what you asked for, even if it's not the same person. I have found American Male to be consistant every visit, and I will definately continue to go back.

Posted by sgr901 I made an appointment and they were able to see me on the same day. They offered me a beer when I got there. Overall the atmosphere is nice and the staff is pleasant. The girl that cut my hair did a great job with the facial massage. You get a face and scalp massage and this parafin wax cr@p on your hands (that does nothing) for an extra $5. The haircut was $33. The haircut was okay..actually it was a little lopsided. All in all I would say the for the price the place is medicore. I am not going back.

The first American Male was opened in 1997 by the Raylon Corporation, a full-service wholesale distributor of beauty supply products in PA, NJ and DE. With virtually no marketing, the salon began to grow and other American Male salons were opened in the surrounding areas. Now American Male offers a franchise so that others can operate their own American Male salon.
