I have yet to meet any employee at Mode that is not friendly and "makes you feel at home". Even though your wait time is short, you are offered a beverage and made comfortable. I love the atmosphere. I have had my hair colored and cut by Darren, who does a fantastic job. He listens to what you want (or my preference which is to have my stylist make a recommendation), and is extremely skilled with a flat iron (after all the years of poofy, wavy hair, it's a REAL treat). The products they use are wonderful, and after Darren finishes drying and flat ironing my hair it lasts for a good 5 days (get up and go!). The color and style of my hair is the best it has ever been in my life thanks to Darren, and I would highly recommend him and the other services offered by Mode Organic. |

My first and last visit to Mode
Organic Salon in downtown Seattle made me want
to write my very first review on anything. I'm
not quite sure how this Salon got so many
awards. Was money paid under the table?? Monica
cut my hair. I waited about ten minutes to be
seen. She asked a lot of personal questions and
in return, I felt judged. I'm sure she's a nice
person, we just didn't click. When it came to
drying my hair, her round brushed bumped into my
left eye. She did apologize but I certainly did
not expect to be bruised. It got my contact lens
moving in all sorts of direction and the
experience was quite uncomfortable. Monica said
she's been cutting hair for a couple years but
her asking price is around $50. I was not
impressed. A girlfiriend said I could have
gotten the same haircut for much less at
Supercuts. The positives: The receptionist was
very friendly. It was nice to be offered wine
but I'm sure that's priced into the cost of the
haircut. The massage chair was appreciated but
really not needed.
